Your music. Your access.

Playmix connects music accounts to copy playlists, match tracks and, with your confirmation, remove a source playlist where the provider supports it. Playmix is free to use.

What Playmix handles

We process provider access tokens, playlist names, track metadata, match choices and transfer results. Passwords are entered with your provider, not Playmix. Tokens are held in server memory for the session and are not written to transfer reports. Sessions expire after 12 hours and are cleared when the server restarts. A required session cookie keeps your connections separate from other visitors. Your browser remembers the latest transfer ID for recovery during that session.

Playlist permissions

Google authorization allows access to YouTube playlists, including reading, creating, editing and deleting playlists. Spotify authorization allows reading playlists, creating and editing them, and removing a playlist from your library. Apple Music uses MusicKit authorization to read and create library playlists. Playmix uses these permissions only for the actions you request.

Storage and retention

Transfer reports are stored for up to 30 days and include playlist names, source and destination IDs, selected tracks, and success or failure results. They do not contain provider tokens. Server administrators can access stored reports. Active reports are accessible through your session only; download a report before disconnecting or ending your session. Completed and interrupted reports expire automatically after 30 days. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Disconnect and revoke

Use Connections to clear a provider token from Playmix. To revoke the provider grant, use your provider’s account permissions page: Google or Spotify. Apple Music authorization can also be revoked in your Apple account settings. Disconnecting does not delete playlists already created.

Provider terms

Transfers use official provider APIs and remain subject to their availability and terms. Videos open on YouTube when you choose to preview them. See the Google Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy and Spotify Privacy Policy.
